Another remix. It’s been a while since I remixed anything, but when I got this OST I wanted to do something with it. This is the opening theme from a really excellent anime series called Kino No Tabi (a.k.a. Kino’s Journey): The Beautiful World. Great little series that I can easily recommend to fans of short stories from authors like Harlan Ellison. Great “crossover” title.

Anyways, the original tune is done by an artist by the name of Shimokawa Mikuni. The mix is stitched together with samples from both the original and vocal-less versions of the tune in question plus some additional Logic stuff. Wanted to do something like this again since I hadn’t in a while and I’m kind of abandoned w/r/t working on new compositions for the time being. This turned out to be fun to work on and even though it’s slightly cheesy J-pop, I like it. Headphones make it extra fun. Learned a little more about paying attention to the overall mix rather than just sections of said.
